Thankful for New Hedgehogs

 

Today, we are thankful for our new Hedgehog Toys.  Rosy and I both got our very own hedgehogs to play with! 

 

 Get this though,

not only did WE get new hedgehogs....

 

THE BIRDIES got a hedgehog too!!!

 

She says it was on sale at the birdy food store

...but we are pretty sure Mama has lost her mind.

 

Doesn't she know Birdies don't play with hedgehogs?

 

So far our hedgehogs are still in tact with no injuries...

Of course, we have only had them a few days.

The birdies have been a bit more rough with their hedgehog tho....maybe they DO play with their toys!

Who you think will destroy their hedgehog first??

Happy Color

 

It's that time of year where we can look up in the morning and see lots of happy colors.....

As the weather warms up, the sky fills with all the pretty colors of

hot air balloons. 

No matter how many Mama sees them, she is always in awe

of their beauty! 

 

 Maybe now that the bright colors in the sky are back, she can find something a little "less colorful" for me to wear!

More Flowers from Washington, DC

 

 Howdy effuryone! Welcome to Nature Friday, where we can meet some new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we are showing you some of the flower pictures we found on Mama's phone from her trip to Washington DC in early March.

 

 

Due to their warm, rainy Winter,  Spring flowers could be found blooming everywhere in DC, even during the first week of March! Here we have a pretty purple hyacinth.  

 

 

 There were also some beautiful snow drops just like the ones Mama saw in our local botanical garden!

 

 One museum had this pretty pick hyacinth in their front entrance garden.

 

 

 Mama saw this unique flower on one of her walks. Imagine her surprise when she googled it and found out it was witch hazel! We never even thought of witch hazel having a flower!

 

 You learn something new everyday, right???

 

 Of course there were daffodils blooming everywhere! Mama loved the fluffy center in this daffie!

 

 

 ...and you can never go wrong with fields of daffies, right??

 

 

 We'll  wrap up this week's Nature Friday with another pretty purple hyacinth.

Thankful for My Own Room

Welcome, come on in!! 

We are thankful Mama finally finished Rosy and my room this week. Well, she says we have to share it of we have lots of company,

but mostly it is for Rosy and I to enjoy and keep all our stuff!

Let me give you a little tour!

 

 To the left, when you walk in, are all our "current season" bandanas. In this case, we have our Spring and Summer bandanas hanging up. 

(Daddy also keeps the router for this side of the house in here that's what the blue wire is for)

 

 

 As you look to the right, you'll see our "off-season" and holiday bandanas.. Yes, Mama might be a bit addicted to bandanas but it's better than her putting us in dresses, so we put up with it!

 

 

 We have the quilt Aunty C made for Mama hanging up too!

 

 

Above the closet are the pictures we have received from Chewy.com over the years. They have painted pictures of Rosy and I plus all the Angels that came before us! In this side of the closet are all our props, along with our birthday hats and some of Mama's craft stuff.

Thank goodness this is a big closet!!

 

 

 On this side of the closet, we have all our shirts, hats and costumes that Mama is keeping in cloth bins.

 

 We have a pretty big window where we can currently view the blooming crab apple tree.

 

 

 We have a comfy bed for visitors and comfy beds for Rosy and I on the floor!

The most special thing in this room are our Angels and their memory case. Dory, Arty, Jakey and Bilbo are here to listen to us complain about Mama or answer any questions we have. They are also here in case Mama and Daddy want to come in and talk to them or just remember the fun times they had together. Just yesterday, we heard Mama telling them to be sure to look for a special new Angel.  

Lightning, from the OP Pack, went over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Not only did Rosy and I know Lightning, but our Angels knew him too!  We are sure they are all gathered around Tucker's Famous All you Can Eat Buffet telling stories of the crazy times they had in Blogville, and having lots of laughs!
